Quercetin is a type of flavonoid antioxidant found in plant foods, including leafy greens, tomatoes, berries, and broccoli. Technically, it is considered a “plant pigment” found in fruits and vegetables which are very rich in nutrients. Considered one of the superfoods list 2021, quercetin plays an important part in fighting free radical damage, the effects of aging and inflammation.

Flavonoids, including quercetin, are important anti-inflammatory because they function as antioxidants, actually fighting the natural “oxidation” process that occurs over time as we age.
